Avatar Trailer

This is the new trailer for Cameron's Avatar...I think it looks pretty awesome but I have already read others complain that they feel it looks too much like an animation ...just no pleasing some people

Emperor Morphetine

I just think its amazing what can be achieved on film these days, it's really inspired me to start thinking cinematically again!
Catnapper

Excellent Morphy...go into the film business then we can have exclusive info

When I saw the trailer, I thought it had a similar feel to Beowolf....but it does look pretty amazing

brill mate   i want a famous and important talent in film making

my biggest gripe with special effects today is when the cg character or things are not properly incorporated with the real life actors......it really annoys me...but from the trailer it looks pretty ace
Emperor Morphetine

I guess it's a matter of working to balance the lag between the real and the animated- maybe its a technological thing! And maybe it's another thing for me to solve should I follow a creative path in the end...
Lucifer_666

For me its stuff like actors talking to a cgi character and they aren't really looking at it properly...Jar Jar Binks was a prime example of this ....there is certain scenes were it complete destroys it for me ....also riding cgi creatures is the same ...it can look truly bad

nevertheless I'm sure your right and you'll solve any problem there bud
Emperor Morphetine

Well, I'm sure its relatively simple!
Lucifer_666

 i admire your confidence bud
Emperor Morphetine

After all with the technology available to filmmakers in this day and age pretty much anything's doable on screen now.
Lucifer_666

you could practically do alot at home these days aswell ..you wouldn;t even need a film specialist
Emperor Morphetine

Provided you had the right equipment/software of course.
Lucifer_666

yeah but alot are now made for your home computer.....its not like yesteryear where you needed specialised equipment
Emperor Morphetine

True, filmmaking's changed a lot really when you think about it.
Lucifer_666

i have got a program lately called Poser and you can make computer aniimation with it ...i'm still trying to figure it out fully
Emperor Morphetine

Just do a bit of experimentation with it, think of all you could achieve!
Lucifer_666

yep thats what i'm doing ...you can also get some tuturial vids on youtube which i will look at too...its getting the time to allocate to it
Emperor Morphetine

Very true, maybe set aside a few hours a day?
Lucifer_666

Aye i will try bud ..... i'd love to be able to do an animation of one of my original stories
