Austria quits EurovisionLooks like Terry Wogan was right all along with his political voting accusations!
"Austria yesterday pulled out of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest - complaining the results are rigged by political voting. State Broadcaster ORF said it will not show the competition, held in Serbia next May.
It accused Eastern European countries of siding with their neighbours. A spokeman said they were "not prepared to send further talents to participate in a hopeless cause while the song contest remains an arena for political manoeuvring."
Last month it was announced new rules were being drawn up after countries including Britain and Germany - among the nations who foot most of the contest's bill - made similar claims.
Austria last won in 1966 with Merci Cherie."

You big countries shouldn't complain really...if you all do bad you still get througfh to the final stages....while all the rest of us have to go to a knowckout stage...how unfair is that???
