Are Men's sins worse than womens?Anyone watch .that debating show that is on bbc on Sunday??? One of their discussions featured this....
The Vatican release a stat saying men are more greedy, selfish and more lustful taken from Confessional Boxes 
First of all I'm kind of shocked records like this were taken in a supposed confidential practice like the confessional box
And second I don't believe its a fair assessment either..  .okay not many would argue too long the lust thing.  ...but .for all we know women generally don't tell everything in the confessional box or what I suspect don't confess to certain things because they don't see what they are doing is wrong  ...to understand what I mean all you have to do is watch a show like Loose Women....who are, save one or two, the most conceated people in the world who think themselves merely empowered females and so justified in their sexist behaviour...they don't see any wrongs in what they say or do as long as that female audience applaud them...its sad really because in years to come I firmly believe we as a society will look back on behaviour like this and find it as equally repulsive as we find men's of yesteryear now

most of the time i would agree , men are worse , but some woman are just down right nimphish and can be 10 times worse.

I thought the confessional box was supposed to be confidential too....or is it ok to speak generally about what people confess to in them, as long as no names are mentioned?
If they're saying men are more greedy, selfish and lustful....then what do women confess to being?!

Maybe women are as selfish, greedy and lustful as men....but we're clever enough not to confess to it like men do

I always thought the church confessional was supposed to be sacrosant- what's said remaining between you and the cleric, but obviously these days even God and the so called men of God seem to be increasingly media-savvy!

I have to say I'm very shocked at this too...this study was actually sanctioned by the Vatican itself and to me although may get into tv shows and papers I don't see it as media savy in terms of gaining trust in the church..I was never one for confessions anyway but I have to say this would definitely put me off ever going into a confession box
they should confess to wanting me Cat I know they do and they are in denial...those lustful vixens

I wonder why the Vatican sanctioned the survey? As long as people go to church regularly and they don't have dwindling congregations, I can't see why they'd want a survey of what people confess to? ........unless the Vatican are governed by surveys and statistics like the rest of us are!

Could well be Morphy......I suppose it could be a way of seeing what issues crop up regularly so the Pope or priests could pitch their sermons to address those issues!

I do think the Church will try to become more hip and modern...they'll be on Facebook and Myspace next but I do think this released survey was a silly move..all it does is question the confidentiality of the confessional

 Can you imagine being on the Pope's blog..or his twitter page? you could pm him your confessions securely and he could release new prayers and share his favourite biblical stories.... yep it would be party time on there

Can you imagine being on MySpace or something like that and getting a request from the Pope to be your friend?! Isn't he supposed to be well up on technology? So it could well be he joins Twitter, Facebook etc!

Unless of course he gets bored of being the leader of the Catholic faith and just wants to chill out when he's off duty, I just have this idea that once all the ceremonial stuff's over with he desperately wants to be just a normal guy!
