Ant-Man

Synopsis:
Biochemist Dr. Hank Pym uses his latest discovery, a group of subatomic particles, to create a size-altering formula. Though his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects.

Edgar Wright plans to direct an action-adventure film with comedic elements, insisting that Ant-Man would not be a spoof. Wright also plans to include both Henry Pym and Scott Lang as major characters, with Pym as Ant-Man in the 60's in Tales to Astonish style, and a flashforward to Lang as Ant-Man's successor in contemporary times.

In February 2007, Wright said that the project was in "a holding pattern" while the script was revised, with casting yet to begin. The director reported that he would have news for the film in a few months. He has been researching nanotechnology for the film.

I'm quite looking forward to this as a Marvel Comics fan ...But I'm actually quite surprised they went with this character particularly Henry Hank Pym (who really is Ant Man for me) but he had quite a different history than most Superheroes made into film that we see....for a start he doesn't stay Ant Man....he later becomes Giant Man, then Goliath (when he discovers new tecnologies to make himself big) and then changes to a Hero called Yellow Jacket where he can shrink anything down in size by touch and can literally carry jumbo Jets or massive rockets minaturised in his pockets. Pym is a bio and robotic genius but in the comics he also had serious mental issues which made him in the comic books a very complex and interesting character ...how they transfer this to a film is another question...should be good though.....

More info on this one.....

Director Edgar Wright says "It's written and we're doing a second draft of it. It's going to be less overtly comedic than anything else I've ever done. It's more of a full-on action adventure sci-fi film but with a comedic element - in the same spirit of a lot of escapist fare like that. It's certainly not a superhero spoof or pastiche." Which version of the hero would it be? "It could be Scott Lang, it could be Hank Pym, it could be both - okay it is both, now there's an exclusive for you."

Well considering I read that it was the two characters ages back and had even posted it here on this thread...erm....its not exactly an exclusive Ed   It does sound good though I have to admit
