Emperor Morphetine

Another possible breakthrough...

I've just had a good bit of news! I've been speaking to an old college teacher of mine who runs a network of football fansites and he told me he had some vacancies for writers on Bolton, Nottingham Forest and Plymouth. Now, I have friends/family in Plymouth, I mentioned this and next thing I knew I was being asked if I wanted to write about the mighty Argyle! So, could be the first step to a career in journalism if I play my cards right......
Catnapper

That's excellent Morphy   Today Plymouth...tomorrow the world   Joking aside, it could lead you in new directions you hadn't even thought about!
Emperor Morphetine

Yeah, I love writing articles and football's a passion of mine so I jumped at the chance to try and prove myself. Plus with graduation ever closer I need to keep an eye out for career prospects....
Catnapper

It'll be one more thing you can add to your cv when you leave uni....it all helps!
Lucifer_666

more great news mate   and Cat is right its all valuable experience ...well done ..i hope it goes well for you now
Emperor Morphetine

Happily it did- I'm now editor of Plymouth Argyle's Fansonline website!

Editor will look even better on your cv...congrats!
Emperor Morphetine

Why thank you!
Catnapper

You're welcome!

I don't know how you find the time to fit everything in!
Emperor Morphetine

It's really quite difficult what with coursework, a dissertation and my journalism all to cram into most weeks but somehow I'm getting by! Its a lot of work but at the end of the day its my future that's at stake so I just have to get on with it and try to get 'me' time wherever possible.
Catnapper

No one could ever accuse you of being a couch potato and slobbing about instead of working! You'll get a longish break at Christmas to have a rest though?
Emperor Morphetine

Yeh, a nice month and a bit to go at my own pace, course I'll still have work to do but I won't be in atmosphere where the pressure gets to me- when I'm at uni in termtime sometimes it feels like certain lecturers really push home the fact they consider their modules more important than anything else we all have to deal with which annoys me! I'm really trying to do everything as best I can but I get the feeling my hardest isn't going to hack it at times......
Catnapper

I should imagine all teachers/professors etc think their subject is the most important! You'll be able to wind down a bit over Christmas and relax, so you'll feel more able to cope with your uni work after a nice break
Emperor Morphetine

Five weeks to go, and my last pre-Christmas deadlines are on December 15 so at the moment I'm working towards those and starting to think about my National Cinemas essay, which is due once I start back in January. Plus I need to find out what dissertation feedback I have so that I can start writing that up....
Catnapper

Phew! You'll need a few weeks off after all that lot    but I'm sure you'll manage it all
Emperor Morphetine

I shall, even if I have to run on caffeine for the remaining three weeks of term!
Catnapper

You'll be buzzing after all that coffeee
Emperor Morphetine

As long as it does the job I don't mind...
