Amazing Journey: The Story of the WhoFor anyone who likes The Who (like me!) there's a prog on BBC2 Friday 30th May at 11.35pm
"Biography of the legendary British band, illustrating the four decades of their success through a combination of rare concert footage and exclusive interviews."
Should be good

Hmm might watch this myself though I wouldn't know that many of the Who's stuff...though I really like Pinball Wizard

I saw the dvd for the prog at a carboot sale on Sunday.....they wanted £5 for it I'll be taping it instead!
Do you watch the CSI progs Luc cause CSI, CSI Miami and CSI:NY all use Who songs as their theme songs.

Oh yeah I know the original tune.....
Who are you Who who who
Who are you who who who
I really want to know
Okay I'll stop singing now

I remember a tv awards show in the UK 2 or 3 years ago when one of the CSI cast was presenting an award. He walked on stage to the CSI theme song........"Who are you"

Perfect for a jokey remark though...it was like a gift from heaven if he didn't know what to say
Catnapper
I felt sorry for him cause if people didn't know he was in CSI that's exactly what they'd have been saying!

I would have made it a joke and said something like "I can't believe you played that music as I walked up here...I know I'm not as big as the Grishom guy but still some know me"
Catnapper
He didn't mention it.......he stood there till the music faded

It probably went over his head babe?
Lucifer_666
I'm actually watching this at the moment.....its good...you just don't get bands like that any more...sex drugs and a guy with a film camera
Catnapper
When it first started I wondered why they were showing footage from the 1940s......till I realised that's when they were born
It was brilliant hearing their songs again but I never knew they had so many arguments and in-fights before. Roger Daltrey actually left the band for a while too.......it's a good thing he came back!
Keith Moon was totally off his rocker.....but what an awesome drummer
Lucifer_666
Yep it was definitely very interesting alright...they fairly went through the ringer didn't they....I forgot that one was accused wrongfully of child abuse charges aswell and yeah poor old Keith Moon...the guy just seemed to be on one massive drug induced trip

I'd forgot about John Entwistle dying in the US too.......but it's good to see Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend stll carrying on and how close they are these days.
Going back to the Who's songs being used as theme songs for the 3 CSI progs........did anyone see Roger Daltrey guest starring in CSI a few months back?
Lucifer_666
No I didn't know he starred in it... .was he a suspect in it??
Catnapper
He wasn't a suspect.....at first He sang a song in that episode and I seem to remember him having a false nose
Lucifer_666
What a strange sounding episode when I think of pop stars singing and starring in tv shows I always think of Boy George in the A Team...it really is a cringe fest
Catnapper
He was supposed to be in disguise and that's why he had the false nose Actually he was pretty good in that episode....he's quite a good actor!
Oh I remember that A Team episode I read Boy George wasn't happy with one line and had it taken out cause it sounded too gay I read too that Mr T and Boy George got on well together and used to chat in one of the trailers and listen to music together in between filming!
Lucifer_666
He was named George Boy in the episode too if you recall ...what a sight that would be ....Mr T and Boy George enjoying some 80's tracks in their caravan
