A Christmas Carol

I mentioned this a while back but I've forgotten where I posted it so seeing as how it's a Robert Zemeckis animated film, it's going in this section!

Jim Carrey voices Scrooge and the 3 ghosts and Gary Oldman has signed to it too playing a couple of characters. Other actors rumoured to be in it are Tom Hanks as Bob Cratchit, Michael J Fox as Tiny Tim, Christopher Lloyd as Marley's Ghost and Bob Hoskins as Mr Fezziwig.

It looks excellent

I can't wait for this to come out either babe should be good ...I wonder is it being made with the same technology as Beowolf? If so it will be truly  amazing   Though I'd be looking forward to it anyway... I love that story....I started reading the book I got last year of it (remember I was telling you about that last year?)
Catnapper

It says animation Luc so it doesn't look like it'll be motion capture like Beowulf is (I've seen Beowulf and it's awesome!).........but there aren't many details about it at the moment. I see it's down for a November 2009 release date in the US so we've got a long wait

Yeah I think I remember you saying about it......did you finish reading it?!
Lucifer_666

Ahh never mind I still can't wait to see it babe ......oh you seen Beowulf? I can't wait to see it myself ....sounds the business

I didn't read it last year but I said I would this year ,....I've just gotten to Ebeneezer heading home on Christmas eve......the old Dickens classic is brill I have to say and this edition of it iI got s a beautiful representation
Catnapper

Course I saw Beowulf....it's got DK in it   only for a couple of scenes though but he looks good in motion capture!

I never read A Christmas Carol as a child cause I was never into Charles Dickens.........now Jules Verne on the other hand....
Lucifer_666

You and DK

I was never really into Dickens either but I do love A Christmas Carol I got a beautiful book of it as a child but didn't take care of it which is why I was looking for a nice edition of it

By the way I read this.....
Gary Oldman has joined Zemeckis' new 3D CG motion-capture adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" reports Moviehole.

Oldman, like the film's main star Jim Carrey, will play an assortment of different roles. Carrey is Ebenezer Scrooge and all three of the ghosts that haunt him, thus many guessing that Oldman will play Scrooge's dead business partner Jacob Marley.

Finally actor Cary Elwes is said to be serving as Carrey's stand-in on the project. The film is currently scheduled for a November 6th 2009 release.

So its is looking like Motion capture
Catnapper

Me and DK......if only

Oh that's excellent news.....I like motion capture!

Why's Cary Elwes Jim Carrey's stand-in? Is it in case JC has to go off filming something else?
Lucifer_666

You reallly do adore him don't you?

I'd say Cary Elwes is there in case Carrey pulls out or something?? I didn't think he would be first choice though after Jim Carrey?/ Perhaps he can do an impersonation of Carrey?
Catnapper

What gives you that impression?!!

It could be something to do with the writers strike I suppose. There must be loads of films waiting to be made once the strike's over and I should imagine someone like Jim Carrey will have a few films to do.
Lucifer_666

Because you mention him all the time and no even his insignificant roles in stuff

You know I never thought of that ..you could very well be right there about the strike babe
Catnapper

That's what being a fan's all about

I'm a woman.....course I'm right

It must be a logistical nightmare getting everyone back and on schedule for all the films and tv shows that are stockpiling
Lucifer_666

Thats what being love sick is all about too babe

Sexism?? from you Cat?

These writers just don't think who they are putting out with their silly strike
Catnapper

True Luc

Hey! That's not sexism.......more like realism

How long did the last strike go on for....a few weeks?
Lucifer_666

realism? Hmmmm women really do highlight their own importance too much

I think it was 24 weeks babe
