He might still appear in Star Trek XI after all! Producers are still considering a role if they can resolve some difficulties with the plot.
Co-screenwriter Robert Orci said "There are two things. One, from our point of view, we are still hoping to find a way.
"Secondly, one of the difficulties that was brought up and discussed with Shatner when we all met him and pitched him ideas, is that Trek fans are sticklers for their canon. Unfortunately, Shatner's Captain Kirk was killed off in Star Trek VII (1994's Generations)"
I couldn't understand why they killed him off in the first place

Yeah but come on its Trek ...they can bring anyone back to life....they could have it that he was discovered years later or something...something to do with the Nexus or something....hey the lists are endless babe

Exactly babe....I think Shatner definitely should be in it? Perhaps they could have the Nexus destroyed at the beginning which reverted everything back to the way it was before it existed and took people so Kirk then never was taken by the Nexus in the first place and didn't die
