Liam Neeson is Bryan Mills, a retired spy, who scrapes a living doing the odd bit of security work, his most recent being to guard a singer (played by former Neighbours star and real life singer Holly Valance). So, when his teenage daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) asks his permission to go on holiday to Paris with her friend, he can only think of possible dangers but says she can go after being pressured by his ex-wife....as long as Kim agrees to a set of conditions. But his fears come true when Kim and her friend are kidnapped to be sold off to the highest bidder.........and he sets off to track them down.

It's a cracking film full of relentless action as he tears through Paris like a one man army, doing anything to get his daughter back. I've never really thought of Neeson as an action hero but he certainly is in this film!

I wasn't too sure about seeing this. It looked like an 80's action film, which I love, but I felt Liam Neeson has left it way too late to do a one man army film. Does he pull it off well?

No I have to say I do see Neeson more as an action type lately...when you consider he was a jedi in one of the Star Wars films and then he trained and fought Batman aswell (which he was great in)

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie even more now

I did think of those films, but he wasn't doing an Arnie one man army thing which I think he is in this.

He does pull it off well Jip   Granted, you don't get the explosions or wisecracks of a Die Hard film or Neeson being armed with grenades, bazookas and various guns like in an Arnie film.......but what you do get is a man who's determined to get his daughter back, whatever the cost and by whatever method. I've always liked action films and I really enjoyed this one
