Excellent work Luc

I'd forgotten about Pierce Brosnan in Mama Mia   ....it was alarming hearing him sing at first

Good to see Kate, Heath and Slumdog winning Oscars.......the Academy must have been following our FilmFlicking Awards

What about Sean Penn winning Best Actor though?!.....Mickey Rourke must have thought he stood a chance of winning after his wins at other awards ceremonies. But, he did say he'd upset so many people in Hollywood over the years that it might affect his chances of winning. Well done to Sean Penn though....I've seen clips from Milk and even though I know it's Penn, he somehow manages to make you forget it's actually him!

Well, what a show that was- are the FF Awards an annual event now?

And yes Babe I think those Oscar people have been following our lead here   though i did think Rourke was a cert and it was a surprise to see Penn get it....he must be very good

oh and wasn't Hugh Jackman very good too...i was pleasantly surprised

Damn it! Thought Dark Knight would have got best film after it not getting nominated for the Oscar. Oh Well. Got to say, Slumdog Millionaire does nothing for me, but each to their own.

I see Hugh Jackman got in a dig about comic book films not being nominated for Oscars during his opening song!

I was surprised Dark Knight didn't get nominated too.....comic book, horror and sci fi films seem to get overlooked a lot of the time. They usually get nominated for technical achievements, costumes or music instead. But it was good to see Heath Ledger get the award for The Dark Knight.

Yeah that's the one Luc! I see the Oscars were up by 4 million viewers compared to last year's viewing figures....but critics were divided about Hugh Jackman. I thought he was very good from the few clips I've seen!

I honestly thought The Dark Knight would be the comic-book film to break that barrier. Oh well.
