The Judd Apatow factory is gearing up a new Sony comedy about Sherlock Holmes scripted by Etan Cohen (“Tropic Thunder”).

The untitled project reteams “Talladega Nights” producer Apatow with stars Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell, who assay Holmes and sidekick Watson, respectively.

I wonder will it be very like the Holmes comedy? "Without A Clue," which starred Michael Caine as a rather stupid Detective with Ben Kingsley leading him around the clues as the much cleverer Doctor Watson?

I'd have had Jack Black as Watson instead of Will Ferrell because I always think of Watson as being smaller than Holmes! It could be like you say Luc.......is it supposed to be a remake of Without a Clue?

Is Without a Clue a good film Luc? I've seen it on my recommendations list that Amazon compiled for me and I've wondered before about buying it?

Yeah he probably would have been a better casting though I do like Ferrell aswell.....I don't think it is a remake of Without a Clue either I think its a new idea altogether

Its been a while since I seen it but I remember really enjoying it at the time....Watson is the real genius and has invented the character of Holmes and has hired Caine in as an actor to play him.....its a bit actually like Remington Steele's plot in a way
