I have to say I'm sort of secretly looking forward to this flick...not that I ever read the books or even feel that that this was the right choice and not have the Hardy Boys film instead but I do remember the old tv series and used to enjoy it....It will be interesting to see what they do with it and the character... It stars Emma Roberts (daughter of Eric and niece of Julia) in the lead and Tate Donovan is her Dad ......also Bruce Willis has a cameo too
Synopsis:
Teen detective Nancy Drew (Roberts) accompanies her father on a business trip to Los Angeles, where she happens upon clues to a murder mystery involving a movie star.
It will be released next Month in the UK
Here's hoping it brings on the Hardy Boys which really were much better

I liked Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. Nancy was a strong female character for young girls in those days |

Yep she was K my Sister's used to like her...but to be honest they also preferred the Hardy Boys okay yes they fancied Frank didn't every girl??
I used to love the episodes that they would all team up....it would only happen now and again but the episodes were always great _________________

No, I fancied Joe! Frank was terribly boring. Joe had 'an impetuous streak', which sent me rushing to the dictionary to find out what that was He was a bit hot tempered wasn't he? Whereas Frank was always so calm....zzzzzz...
It did annoy me the way they kept describing their parents as 'their attractive mother' and 'their dashing father' whereas poor old Aunt Gertrude was a busybody etc. Obviously they meant she was unattractive |

Thats right about the parents and the Aunt I forgot that K
As for Joe I hated when he would do the singing bit though the actor I cannot fault....he went on and wrote and created a series called American Gothic which was great!! _________________

| Oh I meant the Joe and Frank in the books. They went on about how Frank had black hair and Joe had blond hair, which seemed a bit unlikely. Anyway, Joe always seemed nicer in the books, I can't really remember the actors in the series. |
