Plot:

A crew of miniature aliens operate a spaceship that has a human form. While trying to save their planet by gathering all of the Earth's water and bringing it back to their world, however the mission encounters a new problem, their ship and crew becomes smitten with an Earth woman called Gina, a single Mother who shows him (and them) a good time in New York City But one little alien named Agent number 2 is planning on fullfilling his mission and take over the ship

I seen the clips of this on telly and there was one thing that entered my mind straight away...did anyone else read the Beano when they were a kid because it is so like a comic strip in that called 'The Numbskulls'...it wasn't now a spaceship but it was about these little people (that all looked like the guy too   )  that operated a guy's important functions for example there was a group in the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc... and it was almost like a factory in ways inside...I always thought this could have made a great kids comedy film and I think probably a better idea than the spaceship one that Meet Dave employs

Maybe they got the idea from the Beano Luc

I can honestly say this is one film I don't want to see   I've seen the trailer on tv and it does look quite funny.......but it's Eddie Murphy starring   I loved him in Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places and Coming to America but he's gone downhill after rubbish films like Norbit and The Nutty Professor!

Yep I completely agree with you babe...his career has just taken a nose dive and I don't think he has done a decent comedy since those ones you mentioned ..save voicing Donkey in Shrek but that is different...He's too interested in wanting to do multiple roles in his films for my liking these days?    Perhaps a new Beverly Hills Cop will change things around for him if it happens

It's as though he wants to do everything in a film....play multiple characters, write, direct and produce...and it doesn't work.

I don't know if the BHC film is going ahead....I haven't read anything about it lately    but I think he's doing another Shrek film too?

But I was reading an interview he did recently and it mentioned 3 films that he's doing that sounded promising.......Nowhereland's a comedy where he enters his daughter's imagination (could be fun!)........A Thousand Words where he has 1000 words to say before he dies (that sounds quirky and unusual).......The Incredible Shrinking Man - which must be a remake of the old film but could be good too, rather like Honey I Shrunk the Kids I'd imagine!

Eddie Murphy hasn't made a good film since the Eighties, so I think I shall gladly sit this one out!

You see that movie where he's going into his daughtrer's imagination....that sounds like another multiple Murphy character movie to me just waiting to happen

The Incredible Shrinking Man intrigues me though because it really is very far away from Honey I shrunk the Kids babe....for a start its a horror film really and I think a very sad film most importantly the ending....which is rather poignant...you do feel for the character...but Eddie Murphy in that role? I don't think so

I had a look on imdb and they've got him down for just 1 character in Nowhereland...phew!!   I think he's playing a harrassed businessman type who finds solutions in his daughter's imagination.....so he probably ends up rediscovering his inner child and learns to have fun!

A Thousand Words.....he's a blase character who learns he only has 1000 words to say before he dies, so I'm guessing he discovers the true meaning of words and learns to think before saying things? Could possibly be a heartwarming type of film?

The Incredible Shrinking Man's described as action/comedy/scifi so it looks like it won't be a horror film.......but worryingly,  his character isn't listed on imdb    ......don't say he'll be playing multiple roles as all the insects as well as the lead?!!

I'm shocked to hear that about the 'Incredible Shrnking man' like why bother making it a remake if its not going to be anything to do with the original concept? Its like saying lets remake The Exorcist only lets make it funny

Hmm I agree......Eddie Murphy seems to stick to the same type of comedy roles lately instead of trying other genres like horror......but he knows his comedy films make money so that must be why!
