Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly writing the soundtrack to Shrek 4. Producers want him to compose some original tunes and he could even briefly voice a character.
A source said that "There have been meetings and apparently he's very keen to do it because his daughter (Beatrice) is a fan of the films."
McCartney's music has already appeared in Shrek 3 when Wings "Live and Let Die" was used.

Oh crikey  I have visions of the Frog Chorus now in my mind 
Why do they need to get anyone in to do a soundtrack anyway babe?? after all its not a Disney film or something?? Is this not limiting their music options?? Thge joy of the Music from Shrek was always that they choose varied different music to suit the sequence

Hey......I've got the Frog Chorus!
I don't know Luc......maybe they want something different with it being the 4th film? Though if you're not a McCartney fan it might put you off going to see it! |

It reminds me slightly of the Lion King and Elton John perhaps they plan to take the mickey out of that film???
