No, not what I spent my holidays doing, but an old horror movie I came across on BBC Four, who were showing it as part of a season of programmes celebrating the work of RKO Pictures. Made in 1943 and directed by Jacques Tournier under the watchful eye of producer Val Lewton.
A nurse s hired to look after the seemingly ill wife of a plantation owner in the Caribbean and from there on it's a tale of intrigue, voodoo and members of the living dead! Its also a 13th Floor Elevators song, and apparently the people behind the Saw series are planning a remake for release next year. But oddly it doesn't seem that creepy, and I was confused at times..........

It sounds familiar to me too though I've never seen it There were lots of dvd boxsets advertised in the run up to Christmas, so I'm guessing that's where I've seen it as part of a horror boxset maybe?
