Well, I got back into good old England from Florida at stupid o' clock (6amish) this morning......I'm shattered but it was worth it! In my two weeks away I've managed to get to Universal Studios, Wet & Wild, Seaworld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens and all that sort of thing as well as just soaking up the sun and taking frequent dips in the pool at the resort I stayed in.

Weatherwise it was ridiculously hot most of the time although we did get a few long spells of rain and thunder/lightning. All in all a decent break really- as well as all the touristy stuff I got to go swimming for the first time in ages as well as getting to grips with the finer points of aquatic American football ( though I regret to announce that I don't think I'm quite NFL standard!) and just kick back and relax. It's well worth going if you like your rides and film-based attractions, as there are a lot of those around. Amongst others I went on/ saw/ stood in-

the Simpsons rollercoaster (Universal)
the diner from 'American Graffiti' (Universal)
a ' horror make up/effects' show (Universal)
got a picture done with the shark from 'Jaws' (Universal)
had my picture taken with Homer and Marge (Universal)
got incredibly wet ( Wet & Wild)
saw 'Shamu' the whale ( he was in 'Free Willy') at Seaworld
watched some ordinary animals (household pets etc) do some incredible/slightly daft tricks (Seaworld)
had to sit through some of the scariest taxi rides I think I shall ever experience (almost daily)

And thats just some of my exploits in the land of the free and home of the brave, although after nine hours on a plane both ways I'm glad to be back on British soil if I'm honest.

Oh yeh, I'm knackered but it was worth it, I'd always wanted to see America and now I can say I've seen ts tourism centre- Florida is almost one big resort in itself really, its the size of a small country.

Admittedly it has crossed my mind but I don't think I'd go for a while yet, all the travelling can be quite bothersome. But given time I would like to go back and maybe see other states.
