I checked this out of my local library the other day to assist in my dissertation research and must say its pretty good thus far. Basically its a collection of memories contributed by friends and associates of The King at various stages of his life, from his early years and fledgling career to the end of his life. And you gain quite an insight into the character of the man and how others saw him as he grew more and more famous.

He seems to have been uncomfortable with fame in his early years but grown into it after being encouraged by Colonel Tom Parker, and then gone from one extreme to the other until his death. A fascinating study.
