Just watched this on Channel 4- my first Christmas movie of the festive season and what a belter! I'd seen it before but had forgotten it so decided to tune in again. Will Ferrell plays Buddy, a human orphan adopted by elves after he gets into Santa's sack one Christmas and raised as one of his helpers. Basically its a real feelgood festive film, and its really funny, one of Ferrell's best movies. The perfect antidote to rubbish weather...

The only one I've seen so far is Home Alone! I've seen Elf before though and from what I remember it was a good film with lots of comedy and some awww moments in it too! I thought Ferrell was brave walking through the city streets in that outfit

I just think its so funny, and really gets me into the festive spirit! Makes up for missing the Muppets Christmas Carol somewhat too....

I saw it   ....the snowball scene in the park always makes me laugh   .....and I always get something in my eye at the end when they're all singing to keep the Christmas spirit alive

I need a box of tissues at my side when I'm watching some Christmas films

I like the scene in Gimbel's when he transforms the toy shop into a magical Christmas setting with all decorations and glitter   but the scene where he's eating spaghetti with maple syrup, marshmallows and all sugary food makes me feel sick!
