I've just finished reading 'Dude, Where's My Country', a rather humorously named book by filmmaker Michael Moore in which he takes a look at the state of America under the presidency of George W Bush. It soon becomes clear that he has little respect for the man or his policies! It's clearly been very well researched and does unearth some shocking truths about the man who once claimed that 'God wants me to be president'.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan come in for close scrutiny, as do the welfare system and tax situation in the US. And all in all its a pretty good ( and laugh out loud funny at times) examination of the current state of America. He clearly wants radical action as he's pledged to spend his tax cut on trying to boot Bush out of office by either supporting a different candidate or persuading Oprah to run ( read it and you'll see). I found myself agreeing with a lot of what he says, and here's hoping he gets his wish for a better America.

He's always had it in for Bush hasn't he?!

I bet he'll miss Bush though when he finally leaves office!

I must get this book I have read Stupid White Men which is very good.. I really like Michael Moore though I know what your saying ...he won't know what to do with himself when he goes

I like his films and loved the book, though I haven't yet read 'Stupid White Men'.
