The Doctor Who online forums are buzzing about the possibility of yet another Who spin-off to feature The Doctor's clone daughter.

In the aptly named episode, The Doctor's Daughter, an alien army makes an adult clone from The Doctor's DNA. The Doctor's companions name the resulting young woman Jenny (Georgina Moffett, above). She narrowly survives the adventure -- only to fly off into space toward untold exploits in her own stolen ship. The whole set-up didn't so much scream "spin-off" as much as hire an entire orchestral choir to belch "spin-off" over loud speakers.

Jenny's tales would add to the list of Who-inspired shows. Torchwood was the first, with The Sarah Jane Adventures following soon after. Now, The Doctor's robot dog, K-9, has his own show in development. The proliferation of spin-offs should help the BBC keep the Who-Universe on fans' minds as the show takes its 2009 semi-hiatus.

And, yes -- in case you were wondering -- should the Jenny pilot take flight, Moffett would be the first Doctor's Daughter (Peter Davison is her father...) to play the Doctor's Daughter, to date The Doctor (currently courting David Tennant, above), and to star in her own Doctor Who spin-off as The Doctor's Daughter. That whole deal never gets old.

Good God....I just knew this would happen ..I hoped it wouldn't but they just couldn't resist it

The way she zoomed off in the spaceship at the end of The Doctor's Daughter made it look like she'd be back in some way. I thought she'd maybe crop up in Who episodes occasionally but a series of her own would make more sense.

I wonder if it'd be in a children's timeslot like Sarah Jane Adventures?

I don't know if it will be in a kids slot or not they may want it in a similar vain to perhaps Torchwood ...or should I say the new Torchwood slot bascially both shows could fill up the gap missing from the lack of Who

And yes I agree many a grown man will be watching it.....for those interesting sci-fi storylines    and some more gymnastics

I'm just thinking now that she is just going to break into a song at any stage like "I just can't get you out of my head" with those weird sexy dance routines

Pity we won;t see her in the gold tight pants now
