As we already know, there's an animated STAR WARS movie releasing in theaters this Summer. It's all CG, and portends the animated series that'll unveil on Cartoon Network this Fall
I have to say that these images do nothing for me at all and in fact I find them disappointing....I was expecting the cg animation to be much better...more realistic but this still looks very cartoony to me and not that much different from the other cheaper Clone Wars cartoon they have already done The truth is I'm not even that interested in this time period of the films either and so I was sort of hoping the cg animation would make everything look cool I have to be completely honest....this wouldn't entice me to go to a cinema and I'm a Star Wars fan but check them out for yourselves perhaps others wiill think they are good

No wonder it's on the Cartoon Network Maybe those pics don't do justice to the series Luc and it'll appear better on screen?!........I'm trying to talk it up for you |

If they were sneaked out images and not official ones I'd agree with you babe that there was a chance of that but these were put out to show how good it was and its just not good to me though thanks for trying
I think I'll hang on for the future Star Wars tv series and see is that better...I'm looking forward more to that to be honest anyway _________________

Those pics, especially the top one. look like an 80s kids cartoon show ......you'd expect to see much more lifelike animation these days - it's almost as if they're going for a retro kind of look? |

It does look quite good in places....I like the the clone troopers and droids and the ships and I have to admit I like the bad bald lass
I still think ObiWan and Anakin don't look good though _________________

I saw the trailer a couple of months ago and thought it didn't look too bad. Granted it does look a tad 80's, but I kind of liked the retro vibe going on. I will probably go and see it, if it goes on general release over here. _________________ "Say, would you like a chocolate covered pretzel?" |

But why go with the retro feel?? I just don't get it? Star Wars should be about advancing the film or animation experience forward not a backward step _________________

Lucas wasn't bothered about advancing the films in '83, when he decided to cross Star Wars with a teddy bears picnic. Lets face it Lucas does what he wants and he knows the majority of SW fans are quite happy to relinquish there money to him (hence the multiple releases of the films). As long as it is not bad as the Ewok cartoon, tv movies or Droids cartoon, then we shouldn't have a problem. _________________ "Say, would you like a chocolate covered pretzel?" |
