Producer David Kirschner revealed this weekend that he is working on a remake of an old movie of his - the 1988 horror feature "Child's Play" which introduced killer doll Chucky and produced four comedy type sequels.
"We're discussing it with Don Mancini, who has written all of them with us from the beginning. The next one we're going to do is we're going back and remaking the first one and even pushing it further and making a very terrifying version of the first one, which is pretty scary as it is" Kirschner told ShockTillYouDrop.com.
Will they use the same script? "I think it would be pretty close to it, that's for sure, but there's some other things that we're exploring also, and some twists that we don't want the audience to expect."
No director has yet been considered, but he does confirm that it'll be an animatronic doll, not a computer generated or motion capture effect.
Now before everyone jumps in with the same old "Oh no" I think it may be good I like the idea that they think they can make the first one even scarier and that it is not going to depend so much on the comedy element
I wonder will the doll look different though??

Why not Sta? Its the same people that done all the Child's Play films that want to remake the original so I see no reason they shouldn't particularly as they reckon they can make the first even creepier than before..... _________________

I see no difference in remakes or reimaginings to them doing sequels...they all use the original as a template and most just copy the same format.....in most cases you gget essentially the same movie....give or take a few exceptions _________________
