I sometimes record the BBC Breakfast tv prog in case there are interesting news items or good guest stars on it........this morning Bernard Cribbins was on talking about Doctor Who. He said David Tennant is the best Who in his opinion (followed closely by Tom Baker) and he was talking about the Doctor Who film he appeared in 42 years ago..........one of the Dalek actors was Australian and when he talked, his voice went up at the end of sentences like he was asking a question.......so when he said in his Aussie accent "You will be exterminated?".......Bernard Cribbins got the giggles and was told off by the director

Your as bad as me...I sometimes do that too though I didn't today and now I'mm mad...it sounded good
can you imagine an Austrailian Darlek?

I'd have been laughing too same as Bernard Cribbins

It was only a short interview, which was a pity cause he comes acrooss as down to earth and very funny too! At one point they showed a pic of the Wombles, cause he used to voice the show, and he came up with a brilliant idea!........he said The Wombles should be baddies on Doctor Who

You can imagine all the old children's characters like Bagpuss, Bananaman, Bungle and Zippy etc all coming to life and terrorising London

You know thats not a bad idea...they could do it too

have perhaps some alien crowd need the thoughts of Earth kids and use childrens programmes to get them....or perhaps use childhood television memories against adults..they could have it set in the future at some old tv convention....with an alien stalking or something and using these kids characters

Can you imagine being chased by a couple of the flumps or the Smurfs and then bump into an evil Mr Benn

it's a bit like that marshmallow figure coming to life in Ghostbusters

and I like the alien connection too!
