Just wanted to note that it is that day today. I was watching Obama giving his speech and he seemed to be saying that it was the first national service and remembrance holiday today- does this mean that 9/11 is a national day in America now?

Anyway, just wanted to remember those who lost their lives so innocently and bravely.

I saw something written about 'the Falling Man', and that the image was banned by America as 'cowardly.' I don't agree. Surely its braver to leap from a tall tower than meekly accept your fate inside a burning building?

Well, yeh, I'd think so! It was certainly the biggest atrocity in a long time.

I should imagine it's like our Remembrance Day in that everything stops while people remember, but I don't know if it's an official holiday?

I think the same K about "the falling man"......it must have taken a lot of bravery to leap out of the window to certain death.

I see Charlie Sheen has outspoken views about 9/11. He thinks the US government were to blame so people would support a war in Iraq. He also thinks Osama Bin Laden works for the US govt!

Well, Charlie Sheen can think what he wants but I think his opinions are a load of rubbish!

you would be surprised at just how many do believe what Sheen does and i don't think it can be denied that it is a possibility....

As for the falling man...thats silly if anything its a symbol of just how bad things were in them towers that people's only option was to jump.....it just makes me feel more sorry for those poor victims

it was an evil act bud

another thing about the falling man image ... i just don't get how pepple can label it cowardice..

... so if there was an image of a man burning at the top would he be seen as courageous?

.......neither are accurate but if i was to give a word to describe the falling man it would probably be Desperation

Anyway, maybe the man just slipped and fell, it could be as simple as that.

Charlie Sheen is a well known loose cannon, there are things to be said on both sides of his argument...

I suppose if he suddenly gets assassinated, we'll know the truth then, won't we?
